Very important and relieving news has emerged for the youth preparing for government jobs in Rajasthan. The Rajasthan High Court has delivered a major ruling in favor of candidates who were deprived of filling out the online application form for the Rajasthan Common Eligibility Test (CET) 2026 due to technical glitches. The court has issued clear directions to the Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSMSSB) to accept the Rajasthan CET 2026 offline forms of the affected candidates.
This decision has brought back smiles to the faces of hundreds of candidates who could not submit their forms on time due to technical errors and website server crashes, putting their futures at stake. This order has brought a ray of hope for all eligible candidates who dream day and night of entering government service.
The Common Eligibility Test (CET) conducted by the Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSMSSB) is an essential eligibility exam for recruitment to several important subordinate and ministerial services in the state. Lakhs of students had applied for this exam to be conducted for the year 2026.
However, during the final dates of application, severe technical glitches and website errors were witnessed on the Rajasthan Single Sign-On (SSO) portal. Due to this server downtime issue, many eligible candidates could not submit their online forms and application fees within the deadline.
When these candidates submitted their representation (Representation) regarding this issue to the Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSMSSB), the board rejected it. The board argued that the deadline for online applications had expired and forms could not be accepted under any circumstances. Following this disappointing situation, the candidates were left with no option but to knock on the doors of the judiciary. Following this court order, many other students suffering from the same problem are also demanding to submit the Rajasthan CET 2026 offline form.
Following the website errors and the rejection of representations by the board, petitioner Harsh Parihar and others filed a petition in the Rajasthan High Court. The hearing of this case took place in the Single Bench of Honorable Justice Anoop Kumar Dhand of the Rajasthan High Court.
In court, the petitioners were represented by the renowned advocate Nikhil Kumawat. He argued before the court that despite their qualifications and preparation, candidates were being deprived of the exam solely due to technical flaws and server errors on the government website, which is an absolute injustice to them.
After hearing the arguments from both sides, the bench of Justice Anoop Kumar Dhand delivered a major and sensitive decision in the interest of the candidates. The key directives of the court are as follows:
The Rajasthan Common Eligibility Test (CET) is conducted at two levels - Graduation Level and Senior Secondary Level (12th Level). The important dates and fee details related to this exam are presented in the table below:

Following the court order, the affected petitioners must physically submit their offline application forms at the office of the Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSMSSB), Jaipur. The skillful advocacy of Advocate Nikhil Kumawat and the patience of the petitioners brought this legal battle to a successful conclusion.
