Big and long-awaited news has arrived for thousands of youth in Rajasthan who were dreaming of becoming computer teachers in government schools. The Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSSB), Jaipur has released the exam results and category-wise official cut-off list for the RSSB Basic Computer Instructor Recruitment 2026. Along with releasing the provisional merit list, the Rajasthan Staff Selection Board has also released the cut-off marks for candidates selected for Document Verification (DV). This cut-off has been determined based on the difficulty level of the exam, available vacancies, and the number of candidates. The board has released separate cut-offs for both Non-TSP and TSP areas.
The official cut-off marks for the general sub-category of the Non-Scheduled Area (Non-TSP) are as follows:
The cut-off for candidates of the Scheduled Area (TSP) has been relatively lower:
Note: The board has set separate special cut-off marks for women, widows, divorcees, and Ex-Servicemen, which candidates can check in the official Result PDF.
The biggest discussion surrounding this exam is about the Minimum Qualifying Marks. According to the rules, candidates belonging to General, Economically Weaker Section (EWS), and Other Backward Classes (OBC) were required to score a minimum of 40% marks in aggregate across both papers (Paper-I and Paper-II). On the other hand, this minimum limit was set at 35% for Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates.
RSSB Chairman Alok Raj has indicated on social media that many posts in the Basic Computer Instructor Recruitment 2026 may remain vacant. The main reason for this is that a large number of candidates could not secure even the minimum 40% or 35% marks due to the high difficulty level of the exam and negative marking (1/3). While the vacancy of these posts due to a lack of qualified candidates in the field of computer education in Rajasthan is a matter of concern, it may also pave the way for new recruitments in the future.
Along with the declaration of this result, the board has also taken a strict step. A total of 510 candidates have been disqualified due to non-compliance with important rules related to filling out the OMR sheet in the exam.
According to the board's rules, if a candidate does not darken any option (or the fifth circle) in more than 10% of the questions during the exam, they are deemed disqualified for the exam. Under this rule:
This figure is a major lesson for candidates on how essential it is to read and follow the instructions extremely carefully while filling out the OMR sheet in the examination hall.
If you have appeared for the exam and want to check your result, you can search for your roll number in the provisional merit list by following these simple steps:
Ctrl + F (on a computer) or enter your roll number in the search bar on your mobile. If your roll number is highlighted in the list, it means you have been shortlisted for the next stage!Candidates who have secured a place in the provisional merit list still have to undergo another crucial process for final selection, which is called Document Verification (DV).
Shortlisted candidates will have to visit the board's website and fill out the online Detailed Application Form and Scrutiny Form.
At the time of document verification, candidates must keep a set of self-attested copies of all their original documents ready:
Following the release of the RSSB Basic Computer Instructor Recruitment 2026 results, there is an atmosphere of joy in the homes of successful candidates. Meanwhile, candidates who missed out by a few marks or could not secure the minimum qualifying marks need not be discouraged. Since the board's chairman himself has indicated that many seats are likely to remain vacant, there is a strong possibility of new and major recruitments for computer instructors in the education department in the future. Keep up your preparation continuously and focus on improving your weaknesses.
