Educational Qualification, Age Limit, and Application Fee
It is mandatory for candidates preparing for Government Jobs 2026 to meet the eligibility criteria:
1. Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess a Graduation Degree from any recognized university or institution. Students awaiting their final year results will not be eligible.
2. Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 33 years
- Calculation of Age: Will be done on the basis of January 01, 2027.
- Age Relaxation: Relaxation in the upper age limit will be given to reserved categories as per government rules:
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
- SC/ST: 5 years
- PwBD (Persons with Benchmark Disabilities): 10 years
3. Application Fee
- General/OBC/EWS Category: ₹500 (₹400 will be refunded after deducting bank charges upon appearing in the first stage CBT exam).
- SC/ST, Female, Ex-Servicemen, Minorities, and EBC Category: ₹250 (This entire amount will be refunded after deducting bank charges upon appearing in the first stage exam).
Exam Pattern & Selection Process
The selection process for the RRB NTPC Graduate Level exam will be multi-stage. It includes Computer Based Test (CBT), Typing Test (as per posts), Document Verification (DV), and Medical Test.
First Stage Computer Based Test (CBT-1)
This exam will be qualifying in nature only, and the total duration will be 90 minutes (120 minutes for PwBD candidates). A total of 100 questions will be asked:
- General Awareness: 40 questions
- Mathematics: 30 questions
- General Intelligence & Reasoning: 30 questions
Second Stage Computer Based Test (CBT-2)
Candidates shortlisted in the first stage will appear in the second stage exam. It will consist of a total of 120 questions and the duration will be 90 minutes:
- General Awareness: 50 questions
- Mathematics: 35 questions
- General Intelligence & Reasoning: 35 questions
Negative Marking: In both stages of the exams, 1/3 mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer. Therefore, candidates must exercise special caution while answering.
