A very big and important piece of news has emerged for the youth preparing for government jobs in Rajasthan. Record-breaking applications have been received this year for the Rajasthan CET 2026 (Rajasthan CET 2026) to be conducted by the Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSMSSB). Combining both the Senior Secondary (12th level) and Graduate Level, a total of more than 39 lakh candidates have applied.
This massive number reflects the tremendous enthusiasm and competition among the youth for government jobs in the state. Through this exam, the path to participating in a total of 26 major recruitment exams across various departments of the Government of Rajasthan is going to be cleared. If you too are going to appear in this exam, it is extremely essential for you to understand the exam dates, post details, and the major changes made in the exam pattern.
All the important dates and figures related to the Rajasthan Common Eligibility Test (CET) 2026 are clarified in the table below:

The Senior Secondary level CET exam is set to prove to be a milestone for candidates who wish to enter government service directly after passing Class 12. According to the Rajasthan Staff Selection Board, based on the marks of this level of exam, candidates will get an opportunity to participate in 14 major recruitment exams of the state.
Considering the record number of applicants for this level of exam, the selection board is going to conduct it between October 23 and 25. For smooth management of the massive crowd and candidates, this exam may be conducted in 4 to 6 shifts. For the successful conduct of such a large-scale exam, the board has already started finalizing the determination of exam centers and security arrangements.
The application process for the Graduate Level CET exam ended on August 2. A total of more than 16 lakh candidates have registered their applications for this level with hopes of success. Candidates passing the Graduate Level CET will have a golden opportunity to apply directly for 12 major recruitment exams in the administrative and technical departments of the Government of Rajasthan.
This important Graduate Level exam will be conducted from December 1 to 3. The marks obtained in this exam will determine the eligibility to appear in the upcoming main exams, so candidates should strive to score maximum marks in it.
The biggest and most noteworthy change in this year's Rajasthan CET exam has been made in its evaluation pattern. Unlike some eligibility exams held in the past, the selection board has kept a provision for Negative Marking in the exam this time.
Special Note: This time, marks will be deducted for giving wrong answers in the exam. This will have a direct impact on the exam cut-off and the selection strategy of the candidates. Now, candidates will not be able to blindly guess the answers to the questions. Every wrong answer can push you far behind in the merit list.
Due to this change, candidates will have to make major improvements in their preparation style. Now, instead of just solving more questions, focusing on Accuracy will be the first key to success.
Making your place among more than 39 lakh applicants will not be easy. To overcome this tough competition, you must have a well-planned and practical strategy:
