Once again, disappointing news has emerged for lakhs of youth preparing for government jobs in Rajasthan. While on one hand, advertisements for new recruitments are being released in the state, on the other hand, the slow pace of old Rajasthan Government Job Recruitment processes has increased the anxiety of selected candidates. Recently, after the model code of conduct for local body elections was lifted, youth hoped that the stalled processes would gain momentum, but now the model code of conduct for panchayat elections has thrown a new spanner in the works. Due to this new administrative hurdle, the ongoing processes for 46,202 posts across nearly 10 major recruitments of RPSC and Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSSB) have come to a complete standstill.
In this article, we will discuss in detail which recruitments have fallen prey to this code of conduct and administrative apathy, what their current status is, and what candidates should do next.
The test of patience for the youth waiting for government job results and appointments in Rajasthan seems to have no end. Earlier, due to the local body elections' code of conduct, results and document verification (DV) work were stalled. As soon as that code of conduct was lifted, results for some recruitments, including LDC, were released, bringing slight relief to the youth.
But this relief could not last long. Now, with the implementation of the panchayat elections' code of conduct, the final results, interviews, and document verification work of 10 major recruitments have once again been left hanging in the balance. The process for a total of 46,202 posts in these recruitments associated with RPSC and Rajasthan Staff Selection Board is yet to be completed, putting the future of thousands of families at stake.
The table below provides details of all major Rajasthan Government Job Recruitment exams that are currently stalled at various stages:
| Recruitment Name | Total Posts | Current Status / Main Hurdle |
|---|---|---|
| LDC Recruitment-2026 | 10,644 | Candidates shortlisted for typing test; determination of exam centers pending |
| Senior Teacher Recruitment-2025 (RPSC) | 9,651 | Preliminary results declared; document verification (DV) schedule pending |
| Teacher Level-1 Recruitment (Selection Board) | 7,636 | Preliminary results declared; DV stalled due to case pending in court |
| School Lecturer Recruitment-2025 (RPSC) | 4,885 | Preliminary results declared; document verification schedule pending |
| Computer Instructor Recruitment | 3,951 | Exam conducted; awaiting results |
| Driver Recruitment (Selection Board) | 2,759 | Trade test completed; but trade test marks and preliminary results not declared |
| Assistant Professor, Librarian & PTI Recruitment-2023 | 2,430 | Preliminary results released; awaiting interviews for the last 3 years |
| Teacher Level-2 Recruitment (Selection Board) | 2,123 | Preliminary results declared; document verification schedule pending |
| SI Recruitment-2025 | 1,076 | Preliminary results declared; interview pending |
| Assistant Professor Recruitment-2025 | 922 | Preliminary results declared; interview pending |
| Assistant Agriculture Officer (AAO) Recruitment | 125 | Document verification completed; final results pending without any dispute |
There are several major recruitments in Rajasthan whose preliminary results have been released, but even after months have passed, their Document Verification (DV) schedule has not been issued.
There are also some recruitments in Rajasthan that have been stalled for the last three years solely due to interviews not being conducted. The lackadaisical administrative attitude and repeatedly imposed codes of conduct have completely slowed down the pace of these recruitments.
This recruitment, released in the year 2023, includes a total of 2,430 posts. The preliminary result of this exam was declared a long time ago. Despite this, candidates' interviews have not been conducted yet. Even after more than three years, these candidates dreaming of a career in higher education are still left hanging in the balance.
Similarly, preliminary results have also been declared for RPSC's Assistant Professor Recruitment-2025 (922 posts) and Sub-Inspector (SI) Recruitment-2025 (1,076 posts). The interview process was scheduled to begin for both of these important recruitments, which has now been postponed due to the code of conduct.
Some technical and non-technical recruitments conducted by the Rajasthan Staff Selection Board have also been stuck in the web of results for a long time:
Strange Case of Assistant Agriculture Officer (AAO) Recruitment: The document verification (DV) work for the 125-post Assistant Agriculture Officer recruitment conducted by RPSC has been completely finished. Candidates state that there is no court dispute of any kind regarding this recruitment. Despite this, the department is not releasing the final results, causing immense anger among the selected youth.
Immediately after the lifting of the local body elections' code of conduct, the Selection Board released the list of shortlisted candidates for 10,644 posts of LDC Recruitment-2026. These candidates now have to appear in the next stage, i.e., the Typing Test.
Currently, the biggest challenge is determining the exam centers (Test Centers) for the typing test. Due to the implementation of the panchayat elections' code of conduct, the administrative machinery has become busy with election preparations, making delays in finalizing typing test centers and declaring exam dates almost certain.
It is natural to experience mental stress due to stalled recruitments and delayed results. However, as a serious competitive student, you should make the right use of this time. Patamde Study experts believe that maintaining the continuity of your preparation during this transitional phase is the only key to success.
The repeated stalling of Rajasthan Government Job Recruitment processes in Rajasthan due to codes of conduct and administrative hurdles is akin to playing with the future of the state's youth. Stalling appointments for 46,202 posts not only wastes the time of the youth but also leads to their mental and financial exploitation. The government and recruitment boards (RPSC and RSSB) should seek special permission from the Election Commission to complete those processes where only results or document verification work is pending, so that the unemployed youth of the state can get timely employment.
