RPSC SI Recruitment 2021: Process to Modify Online Application Form Begins

The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC), Ajmer, has issued an important press note for the candidates of the Sub Inspector Police / Platoon Commander Recruitment Examination, 2021. In compliance with the interim order dated 02.07.2026 passed in Writ Petition No. SBCWP No. 9964/2026 (RITIKA VS. STATE AND ORS.) filed in the Honorable Rajasthan High Court, Jodhpur, the Commission has taken a major decision.

Under this order, all candidates who had applied online for the previously conducted examination (2021) are being provisionally permitted to appear in the upcoming Re-Exam, which is scheduled to be held on 20.09.2026, subject to the outcome of this writ petition. Along with this, candidates have been provided a final opportunity to make necessary corrections and updates in their online application forms.

If you are also appearing in this exam, then this article is extremely important for you. Here, we are providing detailed information about the complete process of correcting the application form, important dates, and rules. For better exam preparation and similar important updates, you can stay connected with Patamde Study.

According to the official press note issued by RPSC, the window to modify the online application form is limited. Candidates are advised to update their applications well in time without waiting for the last date.

DescriptionImportant Date

Start Date of Modification/Update Process08.07.2026
Last Date for Modification22.07.2026
Last Date to File Grievance (on Grievance Portal)15.07.2026 (In case of any issues)

Special Note: Candidates who have already made the necessary updates in their application forms in May 2026 under the press note dated 08.05.2026 do not need to make any further modifications to their applications.

Which Fields are Allowed to be Modified?

According to the guidelines issued by the Commission, candidates can modify only the following 6 fields in their previously submitted online application form:

  1. Mobile Number
  2. Email Address
  3. Correspondence Address
  4. Live Photo Update
  5. Thumb Impression
  6. Signature

Apart from these, no modification of any kind will be permitted in any other basic fields such as the candidate's age, reservation category, educational qualification, etc. All other fields will remain unchanged.

Prerequisite for Modification: KYC in OTR

Before making any modifications to the application form, it is mandatory for the candidate to complete the KYC process in their One Time Registration (OTR). If you have not done KYC in OTR yet, you must upload the following documents/details before making corrections:

  • Live Photo
  • Thumb Impression
  • Signature

Only after updating these three in OTR will you be able to make corrections in the main application form.

Step-by-Step Process to Modify the Application Form

Candidates can modify their application forms using one of the following three methods depending on their status:

Scenario 1: If the KYC process in OTR is already complete

  1. First, log in to the Rajasthan Single Sign-On (SSO) portal using your SSO ID.
  2. After logging in, go to the Recruitment Portal.
  3. Navigate to the My Recruitment > Edit Application/ Withdraw Application section.
  4. Click on the Edit Application button provided next to the SI-2021 recruitment.
  5. Make the necessary corrections in the permitted fields and submit the form.

Scenario 2: If the KYC process in OTR is incomplete

  1. Log in to the SSO ID from which the candidate had applied for SI 2021.
  2. Go to the Recruitment Portal application and first complete your OTR by performing the KYC process.
  3. Once OTR is complete, go to the My Recruitment > Edit Application/ Withdraw Application section.
  4. Click on the Edit button available next to the SI-2021 recruitment to modify your application.

Scenario 3: If OTR has been migrated to another SSO ID

  1. The candidate can log in with their latest SSO ID and modify their application form as per the process mentioned above.
  2. If the SI-2021 application is not visible in the latest SSO/OTR, the candidate can use the Fetch Application Form option available in their OTR.
  3. With the help of this option, the application can be immediately migrated from the SSO ID used previously (the details of which are printed on the application form) to the new SSO/OTR.

Final Submission and OTP Verification

To successfully complete the modification process, candidates must accept a Self-Declaration.

Format of Self-Declaration: "I have modified my mobile number, email, and correspondence address in the application form, or no modification is required. Additionally, consent is hereby given for the use of the photo, signature, and thumb impression used in the application."

The Final Submit button will appear on the screen only after accepting this self-declaration. After clicking this button, an OTP (One Time Password) will be received on your registered mobile/email. Your modified application form will be accepted only after OTP verification. The applications of candidates who do not complete this process will not be accepted, and the candidate themselves will be entirely responsible for this.

What to Do in Case of Technical Issues?

If candidates face any technical difficulty in migrating their online application form to the new SSO/OTR or in making modifications, they can register their grievance on the Commission's Grievance Portal.

  • Grievance Registration Portal: https://rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in/grvlogin
  • Last Date: By 15.07.2026 (Petitioners and other candidates must register their grievances by this date).

The eligibility conditions will remain unchanged as per the original recruitment advertisement dated 03.02.2021, corrigendum dated 07.06.2021, and syllabus press note dated 22.05.2026. Candidates are advised to visit the official website of RPSC and the Recruitment Portal from time to time.
