There is great news for students studying in government schools of Rajasthan. The state government has decided to once again implement the Vidya Sambal Yojana in a highly effective manner to address the shortage of teachers in government schools and ensure smooth education for students. It is often observed that due to the time taken in regular recruitment processes, teacher posts in schools remain vacant, causing a heavy loss to students' education. As a solution to this problem, this initiative of the state government will not only provide quality education to students on time but will also open new employment opportunities for the state's qualified unemployed youth and retired teachers.
Vidya Sambal Yojana is an extremely ambitious scheme launched by the Government of Rajasthan, under which 'Guest Faculty' is appointed to fill vacant teacher posts in government educational institutions (especially government schools). The main objective of this scheme is to ensure that children's education is not disrupted in any school due to a shortage of teachers.
Recently, Chief Secretary V. Srinivas gave strict instructions to all District Collectors of the state to review this scheme in detail and provide guest faculty in schools in need on time. Under this scheme, along with retired personnel (Retired Teachers), private candidates (Private Candidates) will also be given the opportunity to serve as guest faculty on approved vacant posts.
There are several important objectives of the government behind this scheme, which can be understood through the following points:
Teachers working as guest faculty under the Vidya Sambal Yojana are paid an honorarium on an hourly basis according to the class level they teach. Along with this, a maximum monthly honorarium limit has also been fixed.
Detailed information about the honorarium fixed for various categories of teachers and assistants under the scheme can be seen in the table below:
| Post/Class Level | Hourly Honorarium (₹) | Maximum Monthly Honorarium (₹) |
|---|---|---|
| Class 1 to 8 (Level-1 & Level-2) | ₹300 | ₹21,000 |
| Class 9 to 10 (Grade-2) | ₹350 | ₹25,000 |
| Class 11 to 12 (Grade-1/Lecturer) | ₹400 | ₹30,000 |
| Instructor | ₹300 | ₹21,000 |
| Assistant (Assistant/Lab Assistant) | ₹300 | ₹21,000 |
Important Instruction: The work of the guest faculty will be monitored regularly. The monthly payment process will be completed only after the head of the institution verifies that their work is satisfactory.
Under the Vidya Sambal Yojana, the selection of candidates will be completely transparent and based on merit. The most unique feature of this recruitment process is that candidates will not have to undergo any written examination or interview.
The main highlights of the selection process are as follows:
