Application Process and Required Documents

To apply under Rajasthan PG Admission 2026-27, candidates must use the online mode. The admission process is completely digital, which can be completed through the department's official website or the SSO portal.

How to Apply Online?

  1. First, visit the official website of the Department of College Education hte.rajasthan.gov.in/dept/dce/ or log in using your SSO ID.
  2. Click on the "Admission" or "DCE App" option.
  3. Select your preferred college, course (M.A./M.Sc./M.Com.), and subject.
  4. Fill in your personal and academic information carefully in the application form.
  5. Upload scanned copies of the required documents and submit the form.
  6. Keep a printout of the application form safe for future reference.

Checklist of Required Documents

While applying and later during verification at the college, you will require the following documents:

  • Graduation (UG) First, Second, and Third-year marksheets (Marksheets)
  • Class 10th and 12th marksheets and certificates
  • Caste Certificate (if applicable - OBC, SC, ST, EWS, MBC)
  • Domicile Certificate (Bonafide Certificate)
  • Transfer Certificate (TC) and Character Certificate
  • Income Certificate (if required)
  • Bonus marks related certificates (such as NCC, NSS, sports certificates, if claimed)

Verification of Original Documents and e-Mitra Fee Payment

According to the revised schedule, the final merit list and waiting list will be released by the colleges on 28 October 2026. If your name appears on this list, you will have to complete the next two most important steps of the admission process:

1. Physical Verification of Original Certificates

After your name appears in the merit list, candidates must physically present themselves at the allotted college with their original documents. The college admission committee will verify all your documents. The last date for this is set as 03 November 2026 (Tuesday). If you do not get the verification done by this date, your admission will be cancelled.

2. Depositing Fee on e-Mitra

After successful verification of documents, you will have to pay your admission fee. The fee can be paid online or by visiting any authorized e-Mitra kiosk. The last date for depositing the fee is also 03 November 2026 (Tuesday). Ensure payment of the fee well in time to avoid last-minute technical issues.

First Admission List and Commencement of Classes

After completing the document verification and fee payment process, the first list of admitted students (First Admitted Students List) will be published by the Department of College Education on 04 November 2026 (Wednesday). This list will be the final confirmation that your admission is secured in the respective college and course.

Right the next day, i.e., from 05 November 2026 (Thursday), regular classes for postgraduate (Previous / Semester-I) will commence in all government colleges. Since the semester system is now implemented in the universities of Rajasthan, students are advised to attend classes from day one so that they can better understand their syllabus and internal assessments.

Important Guidelines and Preparation Tips

Below are some practical tips for students seeking admission to PG courses so that the entire process can be completed smoothly:

  • Error-free Application: While filling out the online form, enter your name, parents' names, date of birth, and graduation marks exactly as they appear on your original marksheet. Any discrepancy may lead to the rejection of the form during online verification at the college level.
  • Benefit of Bonus Marks: If you have a valid certificate for Scout-Guide, NSS, NCC, or sports, make sure to fill in its details. This will give you the benefit of extra marks (weightage) in the merit list.
  • Regular Updates: Keep your registered mobile number and email ID active during the admission process, as important information is sent by the department and college via SMS.
  • Take Help from Patamde Study: For any guidance related to government exams, college admissions, and study material, you can visit Patamde Study, where correct and accurate information is provided from time to time.

Conclusion

This revised timetable issued by the Department of College Education, Government of Rajasthan, is an excellent opportunity for all those students who want to build a career in higher education.
